A Morning at Montalvo Arts Center

We started our session early in the morning at Montalvo Arts Center, and yes—it was cold. J & C absolutely braved the chill, and the moment we began shooting, they were immediately comfortable in front of the camera. One thing I adored throughout the session was how C constantly looked at J with the sweetest, softest expression. So many people tell them they look alike, and honestly… it’s true! Photographing them felt like capturing two people who were completely in sync.

Montalvo’s mix of towering trees, Italian-style architecture, and peaceful pathways made the perfect backdrop for classic and romantic portraits. For brides dreaming of an Italian-inspired wedding, Montalvo’s grounds truly come alive in the soft morning light.

Filoli Historic House & Garden Portraits

After wrapping up at Montalvo, we headed to Filoli Historic House & Garden—and luck was completely on our side. The wisteria and cherry blossoms were in full bloom, creating the dreamiest spring setting. Filoli is stunning year-round, but April transforms it into a floral fairytale, especially for couples who love garden-inspired or European estate–style backdrops.
